The 10 postings state actual USGS and USFS data, press reports, seismic and venting data, condition of roads, news headlines, speculation, rumors, expert commentary, and other data. At the end of each report there are "Scientific Inquiry" suggestions. These suggestions are intended to prompt the students to investigate, plot data and speculate on the data. Each report contains numerous days worth of information. This allows the simulation to be completed in 10 days rather than 60 days. It is best not to let the students know when the simulation will end. Suspense is the name of the game.

Download, do a global search and replace with the info from the questionairre, then duplicate the reports for as many groups as there are participating in the simulation. It is suggested that the reports be downloaded and ready for the students when they arrive in the morning.
