It is the story of two young lovers, lost in the mists of time whose love for each other was so great that even the Gods took pity on them and gave them eternal life, transforming them into two beautiful volcanoes, Popocatepetal(sp?) and the other(whose name I have forgotten(take pity on me, I'm 72 years old!) But the story is legendary in Mexico, and there are many paintings and works of art of art that depict their story. Thanks for letting me share even this little bit with you. Jeanne Shaw
