Can you cite some good high school or freshman college books on
Chemistry & maybe Physics of Volcanism? I would like discussion of
oxidation and reduction included.

In general, the chemical and physical aspects of volcanism are not
presented until the junior or senior year of a geology student's
training. Volcanoes (LINK TO: P-books in volcano mall)by Peter Francis
presents many equations that explain the physical behavior of volcanic
products and volcanoes. Inorganic Geochemistry by Paul Henderson
discusses numerous applications of chemistry to geology including
oxidation and reduction reactions.
