Hi Vannessa and Josephine,
Yes, all the volcanoes on Hawai'i are shield volcanoes. From oldest to youngest
they are: Kohala, Mauna Kea, Hualalai, Mauna Loa, and Kilauea. Someday Lo'ihi
may break the surface and join to the island to make #6.
