Hello, for a school project I am required to analyse a time line which
displays the eruption dates of volcanos around the world. I was told
that you study volcanos and was wondering if you could provide me with
any information or know of anywhere that I could obtain this
information.

The Smithsonian Institution publishes the best book on volcano eruptions:
Volcanoes of the World by Simkin & Siebert. It includes a diagram (p 28)
showing the number of eruptions reported each year since 1790. For the
last few decades there have been about 6- eruptions/yr, although large
eruptions occur only about once per decade.
