I'm in fourth year of studying "civil engineer in applied mathematics", in Belgium, so I will have to make a thesis next year (in applied math.). I im on the Catholic University of Louvain-La-Neuve (UCL). I im also following the cursus of first year in geology, because I'm more then very interested into volcanoes. Do you know somebody in Europe that could give me a subject of thesis speaking about volcanoes, or such a subject that I could propose to my teachers here ? Thanks a lot for your help (and sorry for my poor english)

Hi David,

There are volcanologists in Germany, France, England, Italy, and probably just about everywhere else. I'm not sure of who you should contact but here are some suggestions:

und Museum der Universitdt Kiel
Olshausenstrasse 40
D-24118 KIEL GERMANY

England:
Dr. John Guest
Planetary Image Centre
33-35 Daws Lane
London NW7 4SD
ENGLAND

Italy:
Dr. Salvatore Giammanco

ITALY

France:

I hope any or all of these people can help you with your project. And don't worry, your English is perfectly understandable.

Sincerely,

Scott Rowland
