Who came up with the name Mt.St. Helens?

Hi Bbunch,

George Vancouver came up with the name Mt. St. Helens, but long before he arrived the nearby Indians knew the mountain either as "Loo-Wit" (a mountain given special beauty by the spirits) or as "Tah-one-lay-clak" (fire mountain).
