How tall is Mt. St. Helens?

Hi Cheyenne,
Volcanoes of the World, by Tom Simkin and Lee Seibert, says that the
summit of Mt. St. Helens has an elevation of 2549 meters. However, the
base of the volcano is at an elevation of about 1000 meters according to
Volcanoes of North America, by Chuck Wood and Jurgen Kienle. Therefore,
Mt. St. Helens is 1549 meters high.
