Did Mt. St. Helens only erupt once?

Hi again Victor,
No Mt. St Helens has erupted hundreds of times, although most of these
eruptions happened before there were people writing accounts, and even
before there were native Americans around to add the eruptions to their
oral histories.
The 1980 eruption was certainly the most famous because there were lots of
people around to see it, but obviously there had to have been earlier
eruptions for there to have been a volcano there to begin with.
