Like most volcanoes, Mt. Fuji has erupted numerous times. "Volcanoes of the
World" by Tom Simkin and Lee Seibert lists 63 eruptions of Mt. Fuji. Since
records have been kept, Mt. Fuji has erupted 13 times (from 781 to 1707 AD).
Perhaps if you decide which of the eruptions you need to know about you can
find a book of old Japanese history which will have the detailed information
you need.
