Hi Roger,

Sorry for the delay. Mt.Hakkoda is a group of startovolcanoes. There have probably been eruptions in the last 10,000 years but none in historic time. Unfortunatly we have no pictures of this volcano. I could not fiond any publications specific to this volcano. I suggest to visit the sites in Japan listed in Other Sources of Volcano Information (http://volcano.und.edu/vwdocs/other_sources.html).
