Has there EVER been any significant volcanic activity in Honduras? If so, can you point me toward any research or other info regarding this area?

If you want to live in Central America and be safe from volcanoes Honduras looks like the place. The following four volcanoes have erupted in the last 10,000 years but not in historical time:

Isla el Tigra (stratovolcano)
Isla Zacate Grande (stratovolcano)
Lake Yojoa (volcanic field)
Utila Island (pyroclastic cones)
