Hi Crystal,

Since your last statement made me laugh (a wonderful gift on a Monday morning) you get a special, superfast response. We have a page about Vesuvius (http://volcano.und.edu/vwdocs/volc_images/img_vesuvius.html) that even has a photo of tephrite, the most common rock at the volcano. Vesuvius is a complex volcano. Elevation: 4,200 feet (1,281 m). The height of the may will change if the new vent is at the summit. If a vent is located on the flank the height will not change. Please invite your teacher to visit VolcanoWorld.

Sincerely,
Steve Mattox
