I live in Los Angeles and would like to know if you can tell me where I can see some photos and information on the Volcanic Cones and areas in the Mojave Desert. These would include the Pisgah,Sunshine,Amboy Craters, as well as the Cima Volcanic Range outside Baker Ca. These outdated cones are so close to me that I would like to see some photos and information on them.

Mike - I'm not aware of anyhting on the web about the small volcanoes in the deserts of souterhn California. I have been to visit a few and will try to get some of my pix up on VW. I recommend (modestly) that you check out Wood and Kienle, Volcanoes of North America, which includes photos and short descriptions of all of those volcanoes. There is a $30 paperback version and many libraries have copies. If you visit the volcanoes, take pix and let us scan them so others can see what is there. Thanks!
