What kind of volcanic activity is there in Canada and is any of it near populated places?

Have a look at Question 9 for the North America in Volcanoes of Other Regions in Ask a Volcanologist.

The only large city near a volcano is Vancouver which is near Mt. Garibaldi. Juneau (Alaska, USA) is near the Stikine Volcanic Belt.
