Have there been any earthquakes reported in New Jersey in the last one hundred years?

rocky Lou Molinari

Hi Lou,

I don't have that information right at my fingertips so I'm looking at other home pages...I'm trying the earthquakes section of the US Geological Survey, but it is taking forever. You might try asking directly to their web person:

webmaster@www.usgs.gov

ah ha! I've found the home page for you! This is the Earthquake of the day page (accessible through the "other sources of volcano information" in the "learning about volcanoes" section of VolcanoWorld). They also have an answer line but theirs is about earthquakes and seismology. The address to ask at is:

polet@seismo.gps.caltech.edu

Good luck searching.

Sincerely,

Scott Rowland
