Volcano Update (April 19, 1996).
The current eruption of Kilauea continues unabated, with lava entering the
ocean on the south east coastline of the island of Hawai`i. The National Park
Service has opened a trail at the end of the Chain of Craters road to allow
visitors a better and closer view of the lava flow activity. For updated
