Krakatau--Nick Varley

An eruption at Anak Krakatau with ejecta clearly visible. This photo was taken from a boat near to the island. Eruptions were occurring with a frequency of about 20 minutes. Occasionally there was a much larger explosion with rocks almost reaching the sea.
